Li Keqiang congratulated Bender on his election as President of the 74th UN General Assembly. He said that since its establishment more than 70 years ago, the United Nations has played an irreplaceable role in maintaining world peace and security, promoting global development, and promoting international cooperation. Next year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. China supports the UN General Assembly in preparing relevant commemorative activities, which is of special significance to safeguarding the principles of multilateralism, sovereign equality and peaceful settlement of problems represented by the United Nations. As a founding member of the United Nations, a permanent member of the Security Council and the largest developing country in the world, China will continue to firmly uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core, uphold the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, work with other countries to deepen international cooperation, safeguard international fairness and justice, jointly meet challenges and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
