Correctly handle the relationship between heat preservation and ventilation
Pigs produce a large amount of harmful gases and dust during physiological activities such as feeding, breathing, and excretion. Harmful gases include ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. Dust including feed powder , pig respiratory secretions, dust, and pathogenic microorganisms. Slight differences in tolerance to harmful gases in pigs at different stages However, it is generally required that the concentration of ammonia should not exceed0.003%, hydrogen sulfide concentration does not exceed 0.001%, carbon dioxide concentration does not exceed 0.15%. The air in the piggery should be kept fresh and fresh.

Pigs are warm-blooded animals, and their body temperature is normally maintained in the range of 38.5°C to 39.7°C. Different growth stages of the temperature requirements are not the same, the high temperature requirements are piglets, nursing pigs, lactating sows. 1. Lactating sows: the appropriate temperature is 18 ℃ ~ 22 ℃;2. Newborn piglets: the appropriate temperature is 32 ℃ ~ 35 ℃;3. Care piglets: The temperature should be controlled at 26 ℃ ~ 28 ℃ within one week of weaning, and then gradually reduced to 18 ℃ ~ 20 ℃ in the stage of medium and large pigs. Therefore, there is a saying that "little pigs are afraid of cold and big pigs are afraid of heat.
If the temperature does not meet the requirements, it will increase the feed intake of pigs, so that the growth rate of pigs will be slow, so we must not ignore the temperature standard.
(2) How can a pig farm be insulated and ventilated?
(A) Insulation is a continuous process, and ventilation does not require too long. Choose a time period when the outdoor temperature is relatively high, such as a sunny afternoon, or a day when the temperature is high for ventilation. Reduce heat loss during ventilation as much as possible.
(B) The ventilation process must be carried out during working hours. To often enter the pig house for inspection, when it is found that the air quality in the pig house is poor, the oxygen content is low, and the dust is more, it should be ventilated in time. When it is found that the temperature in the pig house is significantly reduced, the ventilation should be stopped and the pig house should be restored to a reasonable temperature as soon as possible. If affected by the conditions, can not do both ventilation and heat preservation, then it is recommended that the pig friends give priority to ventilation, reduce the concentration of harmful gases in the pig house. When cleaning the manure of the pigsty, do not rinse the pigsty with water. The temperature is low in winter and the water is not easy to evaporate, which will lead to an increase in the humidity of the pigsty, which is not conducive to the health of the pigs.
(3) what are the pig insulation measures?
Pay attention to choose appropriate insulation facilities and insulation methods according to the actual situation of the pig farm. For example, in the delivery room, due to the different temperatures required by sows and piglets, try to choose piglet insulation board or breeding heating lamp to give piglets local insulation. However, for the delivery house of the blister manure system that needs frequent ventilation, it is suitable to use the incubator for heat preservation, and when ventilated, the piglets will be rushed to the incubator as much as possible. There are many kinds of heat preservation measures, such as: baking lamp, electric heating plate, floor heating, heated kang, hot blast stove, etc. We should choose according to the actual situation of our pigsty. However, it is recommended that you use a hot blast stove. First, the hot blast stove is suitable for all kinds of piggery and is almost unlimited. Secondly, the hot blast stove blows fresh hot air into the pig house, which can not only reduce the humidity in the pig house, but also reduce the concentration of harmful gases in the pig house.
